As Yemtar Makina, we have taken another important step towards strengthening university-industry cooperation within the scope of the 7+1 Education Model conducted by the Faculty of Engineering at Balıkesir University (BAÜN). At the ceremony hosted by the Rectorate of Balıkesir University, cooperation protocols were signed between the university and many industry representatives.
Our Deputy General Manager Gürkan Mülayim attended the ceremony on behalf of Yemtar. The ceremony was also attended by Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl, Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Aslan Deniz Karaoğlan, and Department of Mechanical Engineering Chair Prof. Dr. Ali Oral.
The signed protocol aims to enable students of the Faculty of Engineering at Balıkesir University to gain practical industry experience at Yemtar within the framework of the 7+1 education model, as well as to collaborate with academics in R&D and technology development processes.
In his speech at the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu emphasized the great importance of partnerships between universities and industry for regional development, saying, “As a university, we want to be a bridge that transforms knowledge into production.”
At Yemtar, we also value sharing our knowledge and experience with young engineering candidates and contributing to their entry into the sector with greater preparedness. At the same time, we aim to advance our R&D activities by leveraging the scientific and technological expertise of universities.
We would like to thank Balıkesir University and all the academic staff involved for this meaningful collaboration. We view university-industry collaboration not only as a tool for building the present but also for shaping the future, and we aim to continue and expand our contributions in this area.
